Alerion Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Palliative for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

This is a travel nurse position. Only candidates residing 50 or more miles from Rochester, NY will be considered for this position.

About the Role:
Join a dynamic team providing compassionate care for patients with intensive symptom management needs at the end of life. This is a truly rewarding role where your skills, expertise, and empathy make a profound difference for patients and their families during one of the most critical moments of their lives.

Your Impact:

• You'll provide end-of-life care with a focus on managing complex patient needs and supporting families in crisis.
• Strong IV skills, wound care knowledge, and compassionate communication are essential, as well as astute assessment abilities to advocate for patients who are no longer able to speak for themselves.
• This unit also cares for general medicine overflow, offering variety in your daily work.

Who We’re Looking For:

• You have a passion for compassionate care : Your experience in palliative or acute med/surg environments means you're ready to step into a role where you can make a real impact.
• You bring your skills to the table : Your proficiency in IV management, wound care, and patient-controlled analgesia pumps (or CHPN certification) will be highly valued.
• You’re experienced and skilled : With at least two years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience and BLS certification, you're well-prepared to deliver outstanding care.

Requirements:

• Current NYS RN License
• 2+ years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience
• BLS Certification (from AHA)
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification (highly desired)

Details:

• Schedule : 36 or 48-hour shifts, rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as per unit needs.
• Pay Package : Competitive weekly pay based on 12-hour shifts and a 48-hour work week (subject to confirmation), plus a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined). 36 Hours Work week is also an option!
